Tailored For Me CIC is dedicated to empowering and mentoring young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our programme is specifically designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to transform their lives.
We support individuals in two key ways: helping them turn their business ideas into successful ventures, or providing practical, hands on experience through an apprenticeship style programme. This approach ensures participants gain valuable work experience, opening doors to employment or pathways to further education.
At Tailored For Me CIC, every programme is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. We move away from traditional methods, embracing a more practical and interactive approach that empowers participants to take control of their futures with confidence.

Why is our services needed
Too many people with great ideas or untapped potential find themselves held back by barriers like lack of resources, support, or practical experience. These challenges are even greater for those from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds. At Tailored For Me, we understand how overwhelming it can feel to start a business or find your way into meaningful work when the odds seem stacked against you. That’s why we’re here to provide the tools and skills needed through a practical, hands-on approach. We give participants real-world experience, moving away from traditional methods to focus on turning ideas into successful businesses or equipping them with the skills and experience to step confidently into employment. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to take charge of their future.
Local Communities
We collaborate with local businesses to provide our participants with valuable real world work experience. This apprenticeship style approach empowers individuals to develop new skills while gaining practical experience they can showcase on their CV. At the same time, we support local businesses by offering the extra help they may need, especially as small enterprises.

Mental Health Services
We collaborate with various mental health services to identify and refer individuals who would benefit most from our programme. Through these partnerships, we provide tailored support to help participants overcome challenges and access the tools and resources they need.
For example, we offer customised programmes addressing the unique barriers women may face, such as building the skills and confidence to re-enter the workforce or launch a side business. Similarly, for those struggling with unemployment, we provide personalised support designed to help them achieve financial stability and long term success.
Job Centre Support
Identify Participants:
Partnering with Job Centre advisors to identify individuals who could benefit from our programmes, particularly those facing barriers to employment or starting a business.
Offer Tailored Training:
Providing tailored workshops and mentoring sessions that align with Job Centre initiatives, helping participants develop employable skills or turn their business ideas into actionable plans
Honey Ojo
Having run several businesses Honey recognised the challenges of running a business without adequate support. Concerned about the rising unemployment rates among young adults, I founded Tailored For Me, a community-focused initiative designed to tackle these issues head on. Leveraging my extensive business expertise and strong relationships with local suppliers. My aim was to equip local people with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to enter the workforce or start their own businesses.
Honey piloted the programme in 2022 with funding from the UK government’s Kickstart initiative. Fourteen young adults aged 18 to 24, identified through the Job Centre and claiming Universal Credit, participated in the training. The course covered topics such as business profitability, resource management, funding, starting a business with small capital, sourcing suppliers, dropshipping, marketing, brand design and website creation.
